Beth Engelking, MA, MT-BC, NMT Fellow, is our MTAM Newsletter Editor! She believes that Minnesota is fortunate to have so many talented, dedicated music therapists, and she loves shining a light on all the great work that our amazing students and professionals do!
Beth is a music therapist for Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota and Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare. She has also spent a lot of time in Ireland learning traditional music and even started a music volunteer program in Cashel at a school for kids with disabilities. In addition, you can find her playing Irish music at the IMDA St. Patrick’s Day events and at Irish Fair of Minnesota every year!
You can also find Beth and her family at Gen Con, the biggest gaming convention in the country, every summer! She loves board games!
One of Beth’s favorite quotes comes from the song “Big World, Baby” by David and JJ Heller, “You’re not too small to do great things.” We appreciate all of the great things Beth is doing for the Music Therapy Association of Minnesota and for all of you!
Don’t forget! Beth is excited to highlight all of the great things YOU are doing personally (weddings? babies?) and professionally (presentations? new businesses?) in our newsletter!
