In October, MTAM hosted a webinar with human rights attorney Michele Garnet McKenzie from the Advocates for Human Rights organization. Michele has agreed to let us share the recording of this video more widely with anyone who would like to learn more about immigration laws and have access to resources for support. This was a really informative training, directly related to the CBMT Domains about Client Safety.
You can access the recording by contacting president@musictherapymn.com. Feel free to share this with others; it is not music therapy specific. You can view and share this video at no cost to you; however, If you would like to support the work Michele and her team do, please make a donation to the Advocates for Human Rights with this link.
Here are some helpful links for resources covered in the training:

It is another difficult season to be a human and a therapist. We will make it through because of our strong community. Thank you for the important work you do each day, holding space for clients to be fully themselves and amplifying the voices of folks who are often unheard.
